Fertility Journey Support in North Bay

You do not have to carry this alone

Trying to conceive can be one of the most emotionally demanding experiences a person or couple will ever face. The monthly cycle of hope and disappointment, the waiting rooms, the difficult conversations, the well-meaning comments from people who do not understand: it can leave you feeling isolated even when you are surrounded by support.

Fertility challenges touch every part of life. They can strain even strong relationships, complicate friendships, affect how you feel at work, and quietly reshape how you see yourself and your future. Grief, anxiety, anger, guilt, and numbness can all be part of it, sometimes within a single day. There is no right way to feel, and nothing you are feeling means you are coping badly.

How psychotherapy can help

I offer a private, non-judgmental space to talk openly about what this journey has been like for you. Together we can make room for the grief that is rarely named, ease the anxiety that builds between appointments and results, and find steadier ways through the decisions this process keeps asking of you.

If you are navigating this as a couple, therapy can also help you stay connected through it: understanding how each of you copes differently, communicating about needs that feel hard to voice, and facing difficult choices as a team. I do not offer medical advice, and I will never tell you what to decide. My role is to support your emotional wellbeing, whatever path you are on.

What to expect when you reach out

Frequently asked questions

I am not sure I need therapy for this. Is what I am feeling normal?

There is no threshold you have to cross. If the fertility journey is weighing on you, affecting your sleep, your mood, your relationships, or your daily life, that is reason enough. Many people come simply because they need one place where they do not have to be strong about it.

We are doing fertility treatments. Can therapy help alongside that?

Yes. Therapy is a complement to medical care, not a replacement. I do not provide medical advice, but I can support you with the emotional side: the waiting, the results, the decisions, and the impact on your life and relationships.

Can my partner and I come together?

Yes. Couples sessions are available, and many people find it helps to have a space where both partners' experiences are heard. You can also come on your own.

What if we decide to stop trying?

That decision, and the grief that can come with it, is welcome here too. Therapy can support you through reimagining what comes next, at whatever pace feels right.
